Mission Statement

It is our mission to set a safe and welcoming environment where young men and women can continually learn about specific sporting activities, enhance both their athletic condition as well as their relationship with their teammates, and be provided positive Christian role models through the program volunteers so they learn of the importance of hard work, responsibility, teamwork and a positive attitude.

Program Governance

The Sabrecat program is led by an appointed board of six people.  Three are appointed by St Barts Athletic Association and three from St Vivian Athletic Booster.  These six individuals make all the program-related decisions but involve the athletic associations only in the event of a voting tie.  The current Sabrecat Board members can be found on the Contact Us page.

History

The Sabrecat program began in 2007 with a merger of the St Barts Panthers and St Vivian Sabers pony football teams. Each year following, more and more consolidations ensued until all levels were merged between the two programs, including the track and field programs. Several other schools and parishes are also part of the Sabrecat program depending upon sport.  We 100% rely on the volunteer efforts of our members to achieve our mission statement.
